ECSS Server
The ECSS Server performs the following functions:
Receives the streaming meter data every minute from the C3IGateway
Processes meter data into its final state
Aggregates meter data for multiple meters
Stores the appropriate data in the data warehouse
Calculates real-time billing information
Processes alerts
Forwards the processed data to the customer’s EnergyC3I client
The ECSS Server distributes processing among several important modules. A
communications processor receives streaming data from gateway devices that
have been installed at the customer’s premises. The communications processor
routes data to a processor module that converts the encoded meter data into
its processed form. The processed data is distributed to the alerts module,
the aggregation module, the billing engine module, and to the data warehouse,
where it is stored and made available on demand for historical analysis and review.
